The Authors Guild

The Authors Guild is the nation’s oldest and largest professional organization for writers. Since its founding in 1912, it has served as the collective voice of American authors and has long supported the rich and diverse literary culture of our country, protecting authors’ rights to their copyrights, free expression, and fair compensation. Its more than 15,000 members include novelists in all genres and categories, nonfiction writers, journalists, historians, poets, and translators. The Guild welcomes traditionally published authors as well as self-published authors, and other writers of short fiction, articles, and essays. For more information, visit authorsguild.org.
